Remixing the Beijing Olympics live
For up to five hours a day, exclusively on the 16 and 17 August, Addictive TV will have their own live channel that viewers will receive during the 2008 Olympics. This project is a real first for television, and certainly for the Olympics.
The last four years have seen Addictive TV twice crowned No. 1 VJs in the World by the readers of DJ Magazine, and twice placed second. Praised by the likes of Jeff Mills, Grandmaster Flash, Stereo MC's and film-maker Peter Greenaway, Addictive TV are a total audiovisual experience driven by their fast-paced movie remixes and video mash-ups.
To check out their skills, Addictive TV has just uploaded their ‘Sportive' video which was created for the Adidas Sport in Art exhibition in China. After touring a number of Chinese cities this year, the exhibition has now arrived in Beijing for the Olympics, before it heads off to Hong Kong. Go to: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=J-3CFfJPk_I.
Addictive TV will also be performing a huge outdoor show in London by the Thames on August 22, the weekend of the official Olympics hand-over ceremony from Beijing to London. They will open their set with ‘Sportive' and include images from the Olympics, which started in Beijing this week.
