Connecting campus students

SABC1’s new Campus Connection, a fast-paced, upbeat student lifestyle magazine show starting next week, is created by students for students and focuses on social matters for students.

According to Futhi Ngubane, project manager at SABC Education, “Campus Connection will educate, entertain and inspire students on South African campuses by showcasing ordinary individuals, their lives and institutions.”

The 13 episodes of Campus Connection is a celebration of African cultures providing knowledge and integrating students in South Africa. Producers Ian P Venganai and Patrick Zindoga promise a variety of topics, including: sex on campus, drugs on campus, making money on campus, being foreign on campus, interracial relationships, unpopular studies, student profiles and many more.

Campus Connection is presented by Trish Phomane and Mike Mwasha from the Western Cape. “The people on the show are really remarkable and motivating,” says Phomane.

“I take viewers on res tours that will leave them speechless because I get to walk into any room of my choice with a surprise attack,” adds Mwasha.

Campus Connection is scheduled for broadcast on SABC1 Tuesdays at 7pm starting 13 February 2007.
