    ICASA hearings for Radio Pulpit

    The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa announced earlier this week that it will conduct hearings into Radio Pulpit's application for a community sound broadcasting licence on Thursday, 20 September 2007.

    Radio Pulpit identifies itself as a non-profit religious broadcasting organisation which had been using SABC's Radio 2000 transmitters (using an SABC licence) until 31 December 2006. Further, the station has been transmitting on the 657KHz frequency band in Gauteng Province.

    The hearings are scheduled as follows:
