Kaya FM's award-winning business show hosted by Stevie B has partnered with Nedbank to provide solutions and practical advice for SMMEs aimed at empowering entrepreneurs to grow and accelerate their businesses to the next level.
"We are pleased to partner with Nedbank as research shows that there is a plethora of support for start-up businesses; however that support tends to wane for businesses that survive for longer than three years. Very often the business owners struggle to elevate their businesses and to create value. It is against this backdrop that Kaya FM and Nedbank are investing tangibly in SMMEs in order to help grow the South African economy in ways that exceed the bottom line. The Bizz Boost campaign seeks to do just that by providing listeners with useful information pertaining to understanding and growing their businesses," said Greg Maloka - Kaya FM Managing Director.
Bizz Boost offers business owners a toolbox which is designed to support SMMEs and turn their vision into reality through effective internal processes and ultimately grow their businesses. The unique selling proposition of Bizz Boost is the one on-one-consultancy element it affords contestants. It is s a 48-week programme where 12 established SMMEs that are three to five years old will have access to a business consultant who will provide mentorship, in-depth analysis and due diligence, trouble shooting and solutions generation based on the business needs under the stewardship of business guru and specialist presenter of Kaya FM's My Money & Me, Thuli Magubane.
"Thuli is a business owner with experience in management consulting, corporate finance and investment banking. Having overcome many challenges in life and accomplished much, she is well positioned to encourage and motivate others to succeed and grow their businesses to the next level," continues Maloka.
The themes to be covered are ones that affect each and every business owner in SA, i.e. Business Strategy, Growth (Procurement, Marketing and Sales), Labour, Sustainability, Compliance and others. Every Monday during Kaya Bizz, Thuli will do an overview of the business she has been mentoring for the past week. This will allow listeners insight into the business sector and the challenges that particular business needs to overcome. In support of the Bizz Boost, Kaya FM in association with Nedbank also brings listeners a weekly industry expert interview on Wednesdays. Thuli will continue from Monday where she will be speaking to a thought leader either within the sector or an expert on issues pertaining to the relevant monthly theme, ensuring that at the end of each month listeners are fully informed and have a 360-degree view on the issues, challenges and opportunities in that topic.
Speaking on behalf of Nedbank, Vanessa Singh Executive Head Marketing: Retail and Business Banking said, "We are delighted to join forces with Kaya Bizz through Bizz Boost, building on our long standing association aimed at championing an entrepreneurial culture in our society and promoting sustainable growth for the SMME sector and economy respectively. Kaya Bizz as a market leader in broadcasting continues to be a formidable platform for us to make a meaningful contribution."
To extend its reach, Bizz Boost will also be available via the SimplyBiz seminars conducted by award winning Stevie B in association with Nedbank, in addition to digital platforms (social and digital media) to mirror the on air themes - parallel conversations taking place with Thuli and Stevie.
