Learn all there is to know about cars with Quickademy
Consumers who join the Supa Quick Quickademy will be able to confirm their new knowledge by answering a few quick questions — and make themselves eligible to win a BMW Advanced Driving Experience.
“We believe that the more knowledgeable consumers are about their vehicles, the better and safer their driving and ownership experience will be. Informed consumers make better choices and have a better customer experience — as the healthcare industry has shown,” says Desiree van Niekerk, Supa Quick brand manager.
“In partnership with our Tier 1 suppliers, Bridgestone, Firestone, Monroe, ATE and Willard, we are on a mission to empower consumers and improve their driving lives through easy access to reliable, easy-to-understand information.”
A clear market need
Van Niekerk says that the Quickademy is responding to a clear market need.
Search results from Google and YouTube show that large numbers of South African drivers are looking for this kind of information. In a typical month, 4.4 million South Africans search for content on tyres, 2.24 million on batteries, 246,000 on brakes and 90,500 on shock absorbers. Typical searches include how to change a tyre, tyre pressure, how to disconnect a battery and so on.
“As experts in the area of tyres, shocks, batteries and brakes, we only stock leading brands — and they have partnered with us in providing the best and most reliable information,” she says. South African drivers have told us what kind of information they want to empower themselves.”
The videos are presented by Lunga Shabalala of Top Billing and Man Cave fame, and actress Shannon Ezra. The emphasis, says Van Niekerk, is on creating content that delivers expert advice in a highly understandable format. The post-video questions serve to confirm what has been learnt.
