…”They are a band fuelled by a DIY self-belief and an unflinching passion for good old-fashioned balls-to-the-wall rock ‘n roll rebellion. - Mail & Guardian
“Few SA bands are as rock ‘n roll as Cape Town sensation Taxi Violence.” - The Weekender
These masters of their craft will deliver another one of it's kind rock album, due for release in August this year. “Our current sound can be described as epic, sleazy blues infused rock. It is melodic and unconventionally catchy with positive, yet dark undertones. The songs depict stories of addiction, parting ways, betrayal, perseverance and new beginnings" says George van der Spuy, vocalist for the band.
A documentary trailing the band in studio and in their daily doings-and-happenings is currently being filmed by Smokin Gun Productions which will also accompany the release of the new album.
Taxi Violence testing the waters
