The Gary Player Invitational series at Wentworth is the second tournament of the four-tournament Gary Player Invitational series, which also includes tournaments in the United States, China and South Africa.

This year's Gary Player Invitational series celebrates not only the Player Foundation's 30th anniversary, but also Gary Player's 60th year as a professional golfer.

Bringing golfers together to do good

Over the last 30 years, the Player Foundation has been able to raise over US$50 million to support under-privileged children around the world. Funds from this year's invitational at Wentworth Golf Club will benefit BerenbergKids, which is a partnership with Berenberg that supports the Demelza Hospice Care for Children and its care of over 700 life-limited children and their families.

Like so many others, Ronan Keating is a long-standing supporter of the Gary Player Invitational series and is passionate about the work that is being done by the Player Foundation around the world. Alongside Keating will be his former Westlife band member Brian McFadden, who made his debut at the South Africa Gary Player Invitational last year.

In addition to the many celebrities that will be attending the tournament, several professional golfers, including golfer Carly Booth, will also be in attendance to show their support. Booth has won multiple Ladies European Tour championships and is a generous supporter of the Gary Player Invitational series.

"We are thrilled to welcome back so many close friends of the Gary Player Invitational Series, and to be able to build new relationships as well," said Marc Player, CEO of Black Knight International. "The power of this series is its ability to bring together a family of golfers with a shared vision, and to be able to do the kind of good that it has done over the years."
