One hundred craft beers to taste at the Jozi Craft Beer Festival
The 2016 edition of the Jozi Craft Beer Festival will be held at the Marks Park Sports Club, Emmarentia, Joburg on Saturday, 7 May. There will be a wide range of beers on offer, as well as artisan food, live music and amusement for the whole family.
With 100 different local and national craft beers at the festival, from the established to the up-and-comers, the diversity and creativity of the growing South African craft brewing community will be on offer for all to enjoy. For those who don’t have a taste for the barley brew there will also be five craft distilleries showcasing some of the best smooth spirits available and providing ideas on how best to enjoy them.
DJs and live music will keep toes tapping throughout the day and gourmet eateries offering up superb food will ensure energy levels remain high. There will also be a safe, dedicated kiddies’ entertainment area with qualified child minders.
The breweries
Featured Craft breweries include: Darling Brew, Cape Brewing Co, Jack Black, Devils Peak Brewing Co, Striped Horse, Belgium Beer Co, Cockpit, Clarens, Standeaven, Soweto Gold, Mad Giant, Everson Cider, Citizen, Brew Hogs, Two Okes, Smack Republic, Stellenbrau, Copperlake, Aces, and Fokofpolisiekar.
Whiskeys, brandies and gins from South Africa’s premium craft distilleries, such as Inverroche Gin, Jorgensen's, Draymans, Whiskey Rebels and Anchor Time, will also be available.
Tickets are available on Webtickets at R150 tickets and include a branded glass beer mug. Kids are R50.
