Who's the boss?
The search for 2005's 'Boss of the Year Award' started this week, with candidates expected to be leaders looking for solutions to present challenges such as transformation, Aids, corporate responsibility and empowerment.
With the Transnet Foundation as patron and main sponsor and organised by the magazine Career Success, the award has now entered its 16th year and has many prominent South African business leaders amongst previous title-bearers.
Any leader in the workplace - supervisors, head of departments, managers, CEOs, MD's, chairpersons, owners of small businesses, etc. can be nominated. The entry form is available in the magazine Career Success, which can be obtained at CNA branches.
The closing date for nominations is 15 July 2005. From the nominations 25 semi-finalists will be selected and the winner will be announced at the Sandton Sun Hotel on Friday, 14 October 2005
An emerging leader will also be identified and rewarded by Unisa's Centre for Business Management with a free course of their choice.
