First promotion of Jock of the Bushveld

Nestlé's Smarties brand is the first merchandising partner to launch Jock of the Bushveld branded packaging and competition, in anticipation of the 3D animation version, due out later this year.

Jock marketing director Andy Rice says, "One of the exciting prospects in the upcoming launch has been the exploration of the possibilities of character licensing, which aims to add appeal to categories such as confectionery, apparel, toys, books and pet products."

Smarties brand manager Hloni Mohope adds, "It's an honour for the brand to be one of the partners on this journey with Jock Marketing and running a promotion during the first quarter of 2011 that engages with the South African audience."
