215 graduates from Triple A

Last month, 115 Capetonian and 100 Johannesburg-based third-year AAA School of Advertising graduates graduated into the colourful world of advertising. Alicia Paladh received the Roger Sinclair Trophy for the Best Advertising Student in 2004 and Nthabiseng Makgatho received the Faculty Head Merit Award for the Most Improved Marketing Student in 2004.

The provincial graduation ceremonies took place at the Baxter Theatre Centre, Cape Town and at the Linder Auditorium, College of Education at Wits, Johannesburg. Top ad agencies and industry players such as Hunt Lascaris, VWV and J Walter Thompson, among others were in attendance to present coveted awards to only the most talented of the 2004 class.

Owned by the Association of Advertising Agencies since 1990 (now the ACA), the AAA School of Advertising is the official higher education institution for the South African advertising industry with campuses in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The AAA School is distinctly positioned in a league of its own through full accreditation by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and is the only education institution in Southern Africa to be recognised by the International Advertising Association (IAA.)
