Call for women achievers in Johannesburg, Pretoria for BWA Awards
The Johannesburg and Pretoria branches of Businesswomen's Association (BWA), one of the largest associations of business and professional women in South Africa, are calling for nominations for the BWA Regional Business Achiever Awards (RBAA). Entries close on 31 March 2010.
“Nominees need not be members of the BWA but should be South African business women who have achieved phenomenally in business, in one of the five categories - emerging entrepreneur, entrepreneur, professional, corporate or social entrepreneur,” says Lebo Biko, chair of BWA Johannesburg. “They should be seen as a role model actively making a difference within the company, corporation and community they come from. They also need to be of good character and to espouse the values of the BWA, even if they are not members.”
The winners will be announced at the gala dinner on Thursday 27 May 2010 and will be guests of the BWA and Nedbank at the Businesswoman of the Year Award Function. Go to www.bwasa.co.za/BusinessAchieverAwards/tabid/9445/Default.aspx to download a nomination form.
