“Nominees need not be members of the BWA but should be South African business women who have achieved phenomenally in business, in one of the five categories - emerging entrepreneur, entrepreneur, professional, corporate or social entrepreneur,” says Lebo Biko, chair of BWA Johannesburg. “They should be seen as a role model actively making a difference within the company, corporation and community they come from. They also need to be of good character and to espouse the values of the BWA, even if they are not members.”
