CT marketers meeting set for end March

The Marketing Association of South Africa will hold a meeting on Friday, 26 March 2010, 9am-10.30am at the Sanlam head office in Bellville, where Chris de Villiers, executive director will hold a general information meeting, to pursue the establishment of the Cape Town Branch steering committee and to organise two Cape Town seminar events for this year.

Professional designations

He will also provide an update on the CMSA and MPSA designations, as the Association has been working on this since November to ensure that the programme is properly hosted with a professional body. The Association, in full consultation with the Services SETA and the CMSA Council, has accepted the responsibility of managing the designations and it has worked out the programme for current and new CMSAs going forward. It is concurrently working on the Marketing Practitioner designation and it expects to make this public and launch the marketing campaign for both designations by mid to end March at the very latest.

Raise issues

Current and new corporate members are encouraged to send representatives to this meeting, as the issues relating to membership (individual and corporate) will also be addressed and questions taken. Members are encouraged to send any queries, questions or concerns to de Villiers in advance so that he can prepare responses and ensure that issues are addressed.
