The team will implement an aggressive campaign over the next three months, aimed at creating awareness and interest as well as educating the South African public on government retail bond, scheduled to be first issued end of May 2004.
Johan Krynauw, Director (Debt Operations) of the National Treasury comments: "It's the first time ever that the bond market will be easily accessible to the general public and we therefore need a strong marketing partner to take the offering to the market. We are confident that we've found that partner and look forward to an exciting campaign."
