    Drivers for future growth

    As marketers we all need to anticipate changes – those which impact directly on our business, as well as those which affect business indirectly. This year's annual UCT Unilever Institute members' meetings, taking place in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town next week, focus on “Drivers for future growth”

    There are numerous trend watchers who list a myriad trends on a regular basis. In sifting through these trends, the UCT Unilever Institute has decided to take a step back to gain a better understanding about what the main drivers of future growth are going to be, rather than narrowly focus on trends per se.

    In line with its objective to keep its members ahead of the pack, the institute will also give its view on how these drivers will shape the consumer landscape of the future and examine what this means for marketers and business people.

    The objective of the meeting is to help play an important role in formulating marketing and business plans for 2008 and help prepare for upcoming issues and challenges that particularly affect the South African marketplace.
