Pedigree launches Project Juno campaign

To highlight the plight of abandoned dogs, Pedigree has launched a campaign called Project Juno. Juno is an abandoned and malnourished dog whose transformation back to health will be documented for South Africans to witness.
Pedigree launches Project Juno campaign

Rita Fernandes, Pedigree brand custodian says that she hopes that the project will highlight the importance of what nourishing food can do for man's best friend.

"We're acknowledging the plight of the countless abandoned and rescued dogs in South Africa and we want to play our part by providing the good food that these dogs need to be at their best, and in some fortunate cases, a better state of health to aid those finding permanent, loving homes," says Fernandes.

Pedigree has partnered with Woodrock Animal Rescue in Centurion Gauteng to rehabilitate Juno. Her transformation has already begun and over the course of the next eight weeks Juno will be monitored by veterinary professionals and her caretakers at Woodrock and fed a nutritious and healthy Pedigree diet. Her transformation will be closely monitored and will be documented on the Pedigree SA Facebook page.

Stella Meldau from Woodrock says that the rescue shelter is immensely proud to be part of the transformation. "Not only will Juno's life change dramatically through this campaign, but the awareness created is priceless."
