Award for media awareness campaign
The campaign, which lasted for 30 days, attracted the attention of South Africa's Direct Marketing Association (DMASA) and was among the companies recently awarded the "Vision for Tomorrow Awards". The award also recognised the fact that IFA offers bursaries to 10 pupils each year to study at a university of their choice in South Africa. The bursary covers 100% of the tuition and accommodation fees.
Too many lack access to decent education
"We are honoured to have been part of something this significant and are grateful for the privilege to participate in building a future for South Africa's youth," says Mthunzi Mbali, IFA's marketing director. He says the statistics released frequently highlighting the magnitude of young South Africans without access to decent education or proper facilities in schools drove IFA to play a role in education.
He adds that as its product portfolio will roll out in 18 venues across the country and this business opportunity reach more people in South Africa, its members will see the company taking part in more socially responsible initiatives across the country in the future
