Eco-friendly materials for festive display
“Cape Union Mart is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and has embarked on a number of initiatives to encourage customers and staff to lead more environmentally-sustainable lives,” says Evan Torrance, group marketing manager.
“This led us to develop an environmentally-themed festive season campaign for our store windows. The window props were designed and manufactured using recycled Xanita materials and we plan to sell the animals and trees after Christmas and donate the proceeds to the Endangered Wildlife Trust.”
No harmful chemicals
Grosvenor Branding Solutions, one of South Africa's leading printing and finishing specialists, manufactured the signs, working closely with King James Advertising in order to complete the project successfully.
“We have been very pleased with the strength and versatility of X-Board; Grosvenor was able to print on both sides of the board and cut the sheets to the specific shape we required, with minimum hassle and maximum efficiency,” adds Torrance.
The board contains no harmful chemicals, polyethylene or waxes and is able to be repulped after use. The board is created from recycled materials and is available in various sizes and thicknesses. The lightness of the material also means that transport and labour costs are lowered and installation time is significantly reduced.
