Vuitton - SA style

Eight South African personalities will be "Vuittonised" in a cover story in the May issue of Style magazine as part of a worldwide photographic project.

Chosen as the local embodiment of the Louis Vuitton universe, Michelle McLean, Ningi Mhinga, Themba Mhinga, HRH Princess Tirelo Molotlegi, Thokozile Qoboza, Vanashree Singh, Joost van der Westhuizen and Amor Vittone represent some of the icons of South African culture and society.

Seeking to show their own style, figures from each country are chosen to reinterpret the Louis Vuitton look, from the ready-to-wear to the shoes, including luggage, watches, jewellery and leather goods.

Shot on location at Rovos Rail's station in Pretoria and at the Saxon Hotel in Johannesburg, the Vuitton Styles South Africa portfolio is a statement of the presence and stake that the brand is making in the sub-continent since opening in Johannesburg in October last year.
