Skywise Airlines has announced a special promotion with tickets costing as little as R466,64 all-inclusive, no hidden costs, in support of Nelson Mandela Day this Saturday 18 July 2015
With the initial announcement, a total of 4600 tickets we made available for this promotion, but this has since been revised to 4666, 4 tickets to ensure a 360 degree strategy. Ticket sales are on a first-come-first-saved basis, for two days only from 17 to 18 July. Flights for this promotion will be from Saturday 18 July until the end of August on the Johannesburg - Cape Town route.
The promotion is based on the globally acclaimed prison number that belonged to the iconic and late Nelson Rolihlahla Madiba Mandela during his confinement at Robben Island.
"This is a very special fare in honour of my grandfather who was renowned for his humanitarian and caring nature. Skywise is showing that like Madiba, it greatly cares for its customers to save on the pockets," said Brand Ambassador, Ndileka Mandela.
New passengers will discover that regular fliers with Skywise continue to be pampered with unique, value added services on-board, such as free coffee and tea, free luggage up to 20 kgs, and the much liked red carpet, VIP treatment.
This approach is captured in the slogan "less is more", signifying that passengers pay less for airfares to get more than the ticket value. Our strategy is to offer the travelling public in South Africa and beyond less-expensive and friendly air travel.
The unique and human centred promotion is expected to attract more travellers between Johannesburg and Cape Town, the only current route flown by the new airline.
Skywise is the latest low-cost carrier to come out of South Africa, having launched with a commercial flight on 11 February.
In line with Nelson Mandela's love for children, that flight was sponsored to carry 2014 Matric passers from Kgamane High School, Marapyane, Mpumalanga. They were accompanied by more children from the Thembekile Mandela Foundation, founded by Ndileka Mandela, the granddaughter of Madiba.
Scheduled daily flights then followed from 5 March 2015 between Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Currently flights are eight times daily on this route, with a total of 52 flights per week. Look out for additional routes to be announced shortly.
Skywise is led by the dynamic duo of Tabassum Qadir and J. Malik, (Co-Chairs) with Johan Borstlap as CEO.
Fly with an airline committed to supporting economic growth of South Africa, and facilitating employment for youths, the movement of people and goods within the country.
