State Capture Report is now live on Scribd

Update: Although it's not yet live on the Public Protector's website, you can access the State Capture report (officially named the State of Capture report), on document repository Scribd, here. Hat-tip to eNCA for the upload.

Original article: It’s a landmark day, South Africa. The State Capture report — the last document authored by former public protector Thuli Madonsela — will be available on the Public Protector’s website before 5pm SAST today.

This after North Gauteng High Court today ruled in favour of opposition parties, and President Jacob Zuma’s withdrawal of his interdict.

But while the report should be available for the public to view today, at the time of writing, the Protector’s website is down.

The Chapter 9 institution on Twitter doesn’t give a reason for the blackout, but it doesn’t seem to be alarmed either.

It also suggested that it will “announce” once the report is available, presumably on its Twitter account.

Perhaps it’s thanks to much of South Africa mashing the F5 button?

Nevertheless, we’ll be sure to update this article as more information, and the actual report, surfaces on the website.
