Fombrun is Professor Emeritus at the Stern School of Business of New York University, founder of the Reputation Institute, and author of "Reputation: Realizing Value from the Corporate Image" and "Fame and Fortune: How the World's Top Companies Build Winning Reputations".

Van Riel is co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Corporate Reputation Review, and a Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University, Netherlands.
