A cinematic tour of Sicily
From multiple award-winning director, Roberto Ando, comes two films which will be presented at the Sicilian Film Festival scheduled to commence from 19-22 September at Cinema Nouveau screened by Fish Eagle in Bedford Centre on the East Rand.
Viaggio segreto and Il Manoscritto del Principe are two of Ando's films which earned him the respect of film critics in festivals around the world, including a nod for Best New Director for Il Manoscritto del Principe.
Another Sicilian gem to be screened at the festival is Placido Rizzotto, winner of the FEDIC Award at the 2000 Venice Film Festival and the Golden Egret Award for Best Screenplay at the 2002 Miami Latin Film Festival.
To complement the festival's line-up, Cinema Nouveau screened by Fish Eagle will show L'Uomo delle Stelle, Rosso Malpelo and La Passione di Giosue l'Ebreo.
Entrance to the festival is free and tickets may be redeemed an hour before each screening, which will take place every evening at 17h30 and 20h15.
