Kalahari.net rewards couch potatoes this winter
Is it the right distance from the TV? Remember - no more than three metres - you want to see those DVDs. Lazy-boys are a no-no - not only are these ergonomically incorrect, but how can you watch TV when you've got two big feet in front of your face? Armrests are important. These have to be at least 20cm wide for three remotes, a six-pack, a bowl of microwave popcorn and nail clippers.
But, if you need to stock up for winter, kalahari.net will deliver all your entertainment products straight to your strategically positioned couch. The online retailer launched its 'Big Chill' campaign on June 1 with kalahari.net and 5fm's search for SA's biggest couch potatoes. Until 2nd of June, you can enter at www.kalahari.net if you think you qualify for this prestigious title. Five finalists will be selected who will be responsible for their own 'Vote for me' campaigns, whereafter listeners and kalahari.net customers must vote for who they think will do justice to the title.
But it doesn't stop there; a few kinks in the concept will make for some interesting radio in the following days... For the rest of the campaign, the online retailer will utilise various media to inspire and assist all couch potatoes out there to become professionals in the job - and offer them the opportunity to win all the goodies they need for this serious job. The kalahari.net Chill Zone (winter shop) will also offer its own bit of winter entertainment. Keep an eye out for daily specials on selected entertainment products, popcorn surprises (with ACTII microwave popcorn as partner) and many more reasons to just stay at home and not set foot in a mall this winter.
