SABC in Carrim's sights

• Times Live: Communications minister talks tough on SABC... And about time too. According to the Times Live report, Carrim said yesterday that "he will act with urgency to turn around the underperforming information and communications sector" - and that, naturally, includes the SABC, which some feel has become somewhat of a circus.

  Dina Pule will be a very easy act to follow, but having said that, Yunus Carrim has, thus far, done pretty well in the various positions he has held. So...

  Here's hoping that he will be far more effective in the position than his predecessor was; it's very likely a hope that we can accept as a given... given, in the view of many, Pule's underwhelming performance as communications minister.
