SABC interim board praised, panned

NEWSWATCH: The ANC is pleased with the broadcaster's interim board, reports IOL, which also reports that opposition parties are not pleased - they reckon the ANC steamrollered their preferred candidates on to the board and ignored opposition choices. The SABC itself, meanwhile, has said it has a ‘very sophisticated' plan to ensure programming continues, should a planned union strike go ahead, reports Mail & Guardian Online. Opposition to the newly appoint interim board has come from more than only the opposition, reports Sowetan.
