ANC going ahead with daily newspaper?
NEWSWATCH: The Times reports that the ANC is intent on setting up its own newpaper to be on the streets before elections next year, or buying The Sowetan. According to documents in the possession of The Times, the intention is to set up an “alternative voice”.
Meanwhile, it will only be on Monday, 14 July 2008, that judgment will be made in the ongoing court case between thrice-suspended SABC group CEO Dali Mpofu and the SABC board.
