    2005 Cannes Lions Direct Marketing Jury announced

    CineMARK, the official South African representative of the Cannes International Advertising Festival, has announced the 2005 Lions Direct Marketing jury members on behalf of the organisers of the 52nd International Advertising Festival.

    To accommodate the increasingly large number of Direct Marketing entries and the considerable time it takes to judge each entry, a preliminary voting round will take place at the end of May during which all Lions Direct entries will be viewed and judged prior to the Festival by an international panel of 51 judges from 25 countries.

    From this first round of voting, the top 40%-45% of the entries will be judged in Cannes by 21 jury members, led by Fred Koblinger, Chief Executive Officer, BBDO Holding Austria and Managing Director, Palla Koblinger Proximity. The winners will be announced at Cannes on Tuesday 21st June.

    "Since the launch of Lions Direct in 2002, this competition has been wholeheartedly embraced by the industry and is considered to be one of the most prestigious international Direct Marketing events. The creativity and talent of the highly esteemed panel pays tribute to the stature of the awards," comments Terry Savage, CEO of the Festival.
