Packaging company Nampak has won an award at the global British American Tobacco (BAT) Innovate competition in London. The carton, which won the award for the best innovation in this category, incorporates a unique self-dispensing mechanism that allows the consumer to remove cigarettes from the pack one at a time.
Only two accolades are presented by BAT as part of the Innovate initiative, which calls on the tobacco giant's major packaging partners to respond to a brief for creative solutions, based on two of the company's lines. This year, BAT focussed on the Pall Mall and Dunhill brands.
The carton ensures convenience and ease of handling for both 10's and 20's, all the while protecting the product, retaining its freshness and encouraging interactivity and sociability.
