Back to school for T-shirt design competition

Promoted by Big Blue, the competition started in 2006 and is an original, annual event that encourages and celebrates South African design. The winning designer receives R20 000 in cash and his or her t-shirt will be sold in all Big Blue and Kitsch+Kool stores.

The competition is open to anyone (not just South Africans) and designers can submit multiple designs online. Entries do not have to be digital, illustrations can be scanned and uploaded on www.makhulupolane.com before the 4 October 2011 deadline. The top selected entries will be open for public voting.
