Joe Public heads Pendoring finalists

Eighteen professional agencies and six advertising schools and tertiary institutions produced finalists for this year's awards. Joe Public leads the pack with 14 finalists, followed by Draftfcb, Cape Town with six, while Draftfcb, Johannesburg, Etiket and TBWA\Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg each have five finalists. Ogilvy, Johannesburg and Black River FC each have four finalists.

The Jupiter Drawing Room, Cape Town and tbsp///beyond the line each has three finalists, while Studio Zoo, MetropolitanRepublic, The Jupiter Drawing Room, Johannesburg and Baie-Lingual Concepts each has two. Orijin, Haas Advertising, FoxP2, Cape Town, M&C Saatchi Abel, Cape Town, and ThirtyFour each produced one finalist.

In the student categories, there are 18 finalists. AAA School of Advertising, Cape Town has seven, while North-West University has four finalists. The Red & Yellow School of Advertising has three finalists, while AAA School of Advertising, Johannesburg has two. Vega School of Brand Leadership's campuses in Pretoria and Cape Town each have one finalist.

Night of the awards

On Friday, 20 September, the winners will be announced at CTICC in Cape Town. Finalists will have to wait until then to see who walks away with the awards. The Prestige Award (including an overseas study tour worth R50,000) and the Umpetha Award (with a cash prize of R20,000) will also be announced on the night.
