It all started with a random conversation between a creative freelancer and a small business owner. The discussion was focused on the limited access that small businesses have to creative resources in times of increased economic pressure, as well as the current frustration and challenges of local creative freelancers.
We conducted extensive research to understand freelancers' concerns from a local point-of-view. We also evaluated a few international business websites, which offer a similar service, and identified a few fundamental flaws in their business models. We used this information to create a truly cutting-edge South African product, which unites businesses and creative freelancers in the most mutually beneficial and efficient way.
