To keep up with what's happening over the the 33rd Annual Loerie Awards weekend, attendees have the option to receive free SMS programme alerts sent straight to their mobile phones, thanks to Vodacom Mobile Media.

SMS 'JOIN' to 43520 and you will receive free programmme updates between Friday 16th and Monday 19th September 2011. The initial SMS costs 50 cents and no spam will be sent. Register now and stand a chance to win a Rockstar weekend - including a pair of Rockstar passes (giving VIP access to Loeries functions) and a suite at the Grand Daddy Hotel (T&C's apply).

Vote for your favourite band

During the EMI Music Battle of the Bands on Friday 16 September at Mercury Live, Vodacom Mobile will also provide an SMS voting service.

The five shortlisted bands will be announced on 5th September and will perform on the night. The winning band will walk away with an EMI recording contract, including a digital release, worth R40 000. There will also be CD giveaways courtesy of EMI Music and Vodacom Mobile Media.

The week-long creative celebration, Creative Week Cape Town, will also culminate in the Loeries Festival Weekend. List your event on the Creative Week website to expose your creativity to the industry's elite.
