Enter now for Eagle Print Awards 2008

Entry deadline for the 2008 Eagle Print Awards is Friday, 26 September 2008, so it's really time to get cracking. The Eagle Awards honour the best in South African creative advertising in the print category and have been sponsored by the Independent Newspapers since they were founded in 1996.

This year's theme is “Kiss bad briefs goodbye”. The categories in which work can be submitted are Corporate, Product, Campaign, Public Services and Charities, Best Tactical use of Media and Student.

Winners of the awards (excluding Student and Public Service) will be jetting off to Cannes in June 2009 for the Cannes Lions Festival, as well as winning the Gold Eagle Award.

The two judges for the awards this year are Tony Davidson, executive creative director from Weiden+Kennedy in London and Erik Vervroegen, executive creative director from TBWA\Paris. Breakfast seminars, at which the judges will speak, will be held in Cape Town on Monday 13 October, and in Johannesburg on Tuesday 14 October.

The final awards evening, at which the winners of the categories will be announced, will take place on Wednesday 15 October at the Alexander Theatre in Johannesburg.

The theme for the awards, Kiss bad briefs goodbye, was developed by King James, which, along with agencies Mnemonic and Hammer, will be handling the website and awards function respectively.
