OHMSA and MFSA join the ASA
Out of Home Media SA (OHMSA) and The Marketing Federation of Southern Africa (MFSA), two major organisations representing key players in the marketing communications industry, have become members of the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA).
Out of Home Media SA (OHMSA) represents companies responsible for more than 90% of the spend in the outdoor media field. The Marketing Federation of Southern Africa (MFSA) represents the Association of Marketers, the Direct Marketing Association and the Institute of Marketing Management.
OHMSA's main aim in joining hands with the ASA is to ensure that the content of outdoor advertising is not objectionable, indecent or insensitive to any section of the public.
For its part, MFSA has pledged itself to show responsibility and self-control through whole-hearted support of the industry's Code of Advertising Practice.
