SA makes final Lions shortlists

The last two shortlists for the 54th annual Cannes Lions Advertising Festival are out and this year's Outdoor Grand Prix winner Net#work BBDO is on the Titanium & Integrated Lions shortlist for its Nedbank solar billboard, as well as leading the ad agency pride in the Film Lions. Johannesburg-based production companies Velocity Films and Fresh Water Films also feature prominently in Film.

Winners will be announced tomorrow night, Saturday, 23 June 2007, along with the winners for Film Young Creatives, Network of the Year, Agency of the Year and Palme d'Or.

The Titanium Lion was relaunched in 2005 as an Integrated Campaign Award, recognising campaigns which achieve creative excellence across a range of communication and media channels.

Velocity Films and Partner company Freshwater Films have a combined total of eight finalists. Velocity Films Directors whose work have been selected are Greg Gray, who has four shortlisted commercials, and Adrian de sa Garces with one shortlisted commercial.
