New client wins at Matigari Integrated.bmc

Matigari Integrated.bmc was formed earlier this year as a result of the merger between Integrated Communications.bmc and Matigari Communications, both companies having long established reputations within the PR, media relations and communications industries.

Clients that have been won since July include, BDFM - both the PR and advertising assignments - the Institute of People Management, Planet Fitness and the Simola Golf Estate development.

"We also have managed a pro bono assignment with the Marketing Federation of South Africa's BEE Monitor," Johanna McDowell, CEO, comments, "as this was important strategic work for the industry in general." McDowell is quick to point out that new clients are not the only answer when developing a business and in particular when trying to move it to the next level, as is required when a merger takes place.

She comments further, "Both parties saw the merger as a vital step forward in the development of our businesses and we have been proved correct in our decision making. What is even more important is that existing clients of the company have started to see real changes in the offerings that we are able to make to them." The growth within the company has demanded that more senior people be hired to consolidate and manage the clients so that delivery is strengthened at top level.

McDowell concludes, " We have a very strong line up of clients now including a significant number of parastatal and government agencies. The expectations of these clients have to be met with innovative new ways of communication. We have a number of new initiatives in the melting pot at present, which will be unveiled over the next few months. 2004 has been a great year for our company and there is a lot more to come in 2005."
