Anant Singh's Videovision Entertainment has scored a coup with the acquisition of the South African rights of the film version of the hit musical, The Phantom Of The Opera. The film, directed by Joel Schumacher and produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be released in America by Warner Brothers in December this year to ensure that the film is eligible for Oscar Consideration in all categories.
The film version of The Phantom Of The Opera will be released in South Africa in February 2005, by Videovision Entertainment through United International Pictures (South Africa).
