South African publishing company ventures into East Africa

Mikateko Media, a South African publishing company, has signed Safaricom, a leading East African telecommunications service provider that boasts over 15 million subscribers. As of June 2010 Mikateko will be producing The Option, a quarterly publication, which will go out to 100 000 customers. It is the biggest technology magazine in East Africa.

Mikateko Media has been operating since 2008 and is an associate company of New Media. Current clients include Transnet - South Africa's largest freight and logistics company.
