Senior Full Stack Java Node Developer

As a full stack developer, you will work on end-to-end software development for applications that powers digital ecosystem — from in-vehicle interfaces to backend systems that support connected services, manufacturing, and mobility solutions.

Requirements:

• IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications/years of experience
• >10 years in software development
• Web and digital project experience
• Agile working experience
• Java and Javascript
• Node.js; AngularJS and Angular 2+
• Kafka; HTML 5; Kubernetes
• AJAX & REST; API
• JSON & XML; Docker
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
• Azure, AWS or Openshift
• At least one Relational Database experience (POSTGRES, SQL)
• At least one Document Database experience (MONGO, ELASTIC)
• Mobile Development Experience
• Microservice Development

Responsibilities:

• Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements
• Ensure that all processes are investigated/considered in obtaining the specifications of the user requirements
• Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives
• Review and present proposed system solution to IT Project Manager / Leader and User Management or System owner
• Ensure that the following steps in the Development Cycle are executed:
• Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards)
• Preparation of user and operation manual
• User training
• System testing/parallel runs

Reference Number for this position is GZ60452 which is a contract position based in Midrand /Centurion/Semi-Remote offering a contract rate of R619 up to R742 per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
