Sentech delivers resilient FY2025/26 results, clean audit and reduced net loss

The state-owned digital infrastructure company recorded total revenue of R1.628bn, a 1.4% increase from FY2025, despite operating in a complex and rapidly evolving environment. The company achieved an EBITDA margin of 22% (EBITDA: R353m).
A key highlight of the financial year was the substantial improvement in Sentech’s bottom line. Net loss after tax reduced to R60m, compared with R246m in the previous financial year, an improvement of approximately 76%. Net profit before tax loss of R165m from the previous financial year was reduced to R141m. Sentech retained its unqualified audit opinion with no material findings, following another clean audit outcome in FY2025. The result reinforces the organisation’s commitment to sound governance, accountability and responsible stewardship of public resources.
Commenting on the results, Sentech CEO Tebogo Leshope said the performance demonstrates the organisation’s resilience and continued progress towards building a sustainable digital infrastructure company.
“Sentech has delivered a resilient performance in a challenging and rapidly changing operating environment. The significant reduction in our net loss, improved performance against our predetermined objectives and continued clean audit outcome demonstrates the progress we are making in strengthening the organisation and positioning it for sustainable growth.”
“Sentech is a torch bearer of good governance within the portfolio” added Solly Malatsi, Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, at the Sentech Annual General Meeting, held on 08 September 2026.

This transformation is underpinned by a focus on strengthening the core business, developing new revenue streams and identifying opportunities to unlock greater value from Sentech’s infrastructure and capabilities.

Strengthening socio-economic impact
