NetFlorist refreshes brand with a campaign built around delivery

NetFlorist has paired its refreshed brand identity with a new marketing campaign that turns South Africa’s familiar service-delivery frustrations into a message about gifting.

The campaign, The People Want Delivery, borrows the slogans and visual language of election campaigns to poke fun at the habit of sending WhatsApp messages instead of gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions.

A campaign with a delivery message

The campaign features an animated video, street posters and vox pops with South Africans, using humour to highlight the difference between sending a message and delivering something tangible.

It gives NetFlorist a playful way to talk about its core offering while tapping into a familiar part of South African public life. The idea is simple: a birthday message is thoughtful, but sometimes a little more effort is called for.

A new look for the business

Alongside the campaign, NetFlorist has introduced a refreshed logo, colour palette and typography, as well as an updated website. The new identity is intended to give the brand a more premium look while retaining its established personality.

NetFlorist co-founder and managing director Ryan Bacher says the refresh reflects the company’s direction after more than 25 years in business and over 10 million orders.

The update also places renewed emphasis on premium gifting ranges for both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) customers, linking the visual refresh to the experience customers have when browsing and buying gifts.

With the refreshed identity and campaign, NetFlorist is looking to keep its delivery proposition front and centre while evolving how the brand presents itself to customers.
