The service will provide an alternative to flying through O.R. Tambo International Airport, while complementing Airlink’s existing Johannesburg services. It will be the airline’s first scheduled domestic route to Lanseria.

Flight schedule and aircraft

The route will be operated by Embraer E190 aircraft, which accommodate 98 passengers.

Cape Town to Lanseria

• Flight 4Z 962: Departs at 9.20am and arrives at 11.35am.
• Flight 4Z 966: Departs at 1.30pm and arrives at 3.45pm.

Airlink plans to increase the service to four daily return flights from 22 March 2027, with the additional schedule to be announced later.

“Travel options on this route have been limited, and our intention is to give passengers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative for travelling between the two regions, while also complementing our existing services to O.R. Tambo,” said Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht.
