She matriculated in 2004 with a Matric exemption and has completed a Diploma in Human Resource Management with the University of South Africa.The Diploma was completed in 2011 and Onnica is planning on furthering her studies in Human Resources as well as doing short courses in marketing and business management with the University of South Africa.
Previously Onnica was working for Ifraternity (Cape Town) which is a Head Hunting agency as a recruitment consultant, her duties included screening CVs, handling telephonic Interviews, working closely with HR Heads in different organization, managing the website and database and doing routine administration work. She made the choice to leave the company as a greater opportunity arose for her with X-Tandit Technologies to become a BEE Partner in the company. Prior to working for Ifraternity Onnica was working for Hollard Insurance in Gauteng (Johannesburg) as a customer care consultant. She was working closely with clients having great communication skills and customer care, this was from December 2007- January 2010. Her duties and responsibilities included assisting clients with various queries and enquiries, understanding the different products in order to assist clients, working with walk in clients who came directly to the offices and also doing various administration work.
