YBSA formed in 1998 when a group of twenty-somethings grew concerned about the decreasing levels of confidence and faith in SA, particularly amongst their peers. The result: an organisation that would encourage young South Africans to be motivated about their country and its future. YBSA has grown significantly and taken bold steps in developing the future leadership of SA by exposing its members to issues on the national agenda, interactions with the countries economic, social, political and academic leaders.
