Show profile Hide profileI am a lady aged 26 and am currently looking for a job in the Non-profit sector or government. I graduated with a BA History and Development Studies at Midlands State University in December 2011. Issues that are of interest to me are HIV and AIDS, Human Rights and Democracy, Children and Development, Peace and security,Gender, Youth Development, Rural Development among others.I am confident that in time and with assistance from the team, I will be able to make a significant contribution to the organization and relevant department. Fresh from college, I have a deep understanding and insight on issues that continue to affect the economic, political, social development of my country Zimbabwe, Southern Africa and Africa as a whole, hence threatening the attainment of the millennium goals. I have served a local Zimbabwean Non- Governmental Organisation called Mavambo Trust as an Assistant Field Officer during my one year internship respectively. Mavambo Trust assists both orphaned and other vulnerable children with educational assistance among other things. This experience gave me the opportunity to assist in child development, doing fieldwork activities such as sanitary wear and uniform distribution and facilitating workshops in and around the Goromonzi district. I was also involved in writing project proposals and reports on ongoing projects among other duties.
