She holds a National Diploma and B Tech in Human Resources Management from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. With a passion in business, she furthered her studies through University of Cape Town Business School where she graduated for a Post Graduate in Business Administration. She also hold an Executive Development Programme from the Wits Business School.
She started her career at Coca- Cola as an HR Graduate later moved to LuK Africa, Total Facilities Management Company, CSIR and Bidvest Steiner. She occupied senior HR role positions throughout her career and at Bidvest Steiner she was an HR and Transformation Director.
Her involvement was in formulation of HR Strategy, Change Management, Diversity Management, Organisation Development, Talent Management, Labour Relations, Recruitment, BBBEE Transformation and Training and Development. Theo also played an imperative role in building a Bidvest Facilities Management Training Academy. This was the first of its kind in the Facilities Management Industry where her focus was mainly concentrated on building a pipeline for future leadership and as part of talent management. She successfully represented the company at the CCMA up to an Arbitration level. At Bidvest Steiner, she offered strategic HR guidance to EXCO and board of directors.
In 2016, Theo was a finalist for an “HR Director of the year” and “HR Rising Star of the year” through TOPCO and Future of HR.
She is registered as an HR Professional at SABPP and a member of BMF Young Professionals.
Theo Tshanga is also accredited by APSO a professional recruitment body as an ISPr.
