Show profile Hide profileI hold a B.Com degree in Accounting and currently studying for a CA qualification with ACCA (The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) having completed 12 out of the 14 qualifying exams. This includes skills in the area of Financial reporting, Taxation, Auditing, Corporate governance, Risk management and have acquired valuable managerial, analytical and communication skills.
I have four years of banking experience; majorly in the area of settlement and reconciliation of electronic transactions and card operations. However, I possess a broader understanding of general banking processes as my job function is interrelated with many parts of the organization such as Financial reporting and control, Corporate and Retail Account managers, Private banking, Branch ATM operations, IT and Process development, Systems control and Investigations and Customer information service etc. I also have some experience as an Audit trainee, being involved in the review of fixed asset register, staff payroll register and checking the financial statement for conformity with relevant Accounting standards.
I have good verbal and writing skill in English. I am very good with the computer, with high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Open Office applications, QuickBooks, Pastel and other accounting packages.
I am a versatile and goal-oriented individual, having an outstanding ability to learn and work. I always bring to work the best attitude and believe strongly in team work and empowerment of team members. I am a self-starter and can work under pressure, I have a good eye for details, I am decisive and try to exhibit sound judgements at all times.
I also possess good leadership skills and I believe in obedience to authority, loyalty, honesty and integrity.
