Show profile Hide profileI started working at the age of 15 as waittress and model. I did shoots for overseas clients and SA Rugby. I realised that I had a lot of potential in me to be a business woman and that is when my journey in the business world started.
After fulfilling many temp positions including PA, Restaurant management, Sales and marketing,etc, I landed my dream job at an Advertising company within the FMCG industry. I started off as receptionist and after a year got promoted to Financial and Office manager. My duties included debtors,creditors, cash books, office management and much more. Soon after that I got promoted to Financial Director and managed all business activities for 4 entities.I also stood in as Acting Managing Director. My duties included implementing systems, overseeing all business divisions within the company, finance,HR and sales etc. I worked for the company for 6 years.
At that time my husband got a good offer in New Zealand and we were on our way to immigrate but unfortunately after resignation our plans did not realise and I was left to start all over again.
I then joined a Property Investment company and did mainly property sales and event co-ordination. Due to the company being in financial difficulty my salary was cut by 50% and I faced possible retrenchment.
I then worked as Recruitment consultant for a firm specialising in financial placements. During this time I completed an Image Consultancy course because fashion and beauty has always been my passion. The idea was to start up my own consultancy but my husband at the time needed help at his business so I joined him as a financial planner.
As you can see my experience lies in many fields. I can do anything from sales and marketing to finance. I definitely have a passion for people and would love to be in an evironment where I meet new people. I believe that in order to be successful you need to have a strong network and I for sure love networking.
I currently seek stability and growth within a stable company. I believe I have a lot to offer and given the opportunity I will prove to be an asset to any organization.
