Show profile Hide profileRecently I decided to move the fulltime events and marketing aside and pursue my career in the Tertiary Industry with students - which came as a wonderful opportunity, at exactly the right time. Currently, I am working at Isa Carstens Academy which is a Tertiary Institution for students studying Somatology. My role at Isa Carstens is as Hostel Manager and lecturer and since this is a new hostel, only opening in the beginning of 2016, they have asked and recruited me to step in to get all operational residence activities off the ground. This includes everything from the writing of residence traditions, values, rules and a constitution. As well as, emotional support, management of executive committee, crisis management, house meetings and involvement with the University of Pretoria and their residence activities. Apart from this I am also managing the marketing and financial departments of the Hostel as well and doing some part time lecturing for their first years in the subject Sales and Business.

Isa Carstens Pretoria Campus, moving to a brand-new building and site in the Pretoria area, demanded various skills such as operational management and other organisational activities - which I assisted with as well.
My various qualities have truly helped me to improve my competitive edge in this business environment. These qualities include having great communication skills and through this connecting with people from different backgrounds and industries.
I enjoy being challenged to improve my knowledge and reaching the set goals in due time. I am also loyal, knowing that when a task is entrusted to me that I will go more than the extra mile to get it done.
I place high value on being trustworthy and honest. I love working with people, being that something different and thinking out of the box. I am convinced that these attributes could be of great value to any company.
